East Texas
Van Zandt is ranch country, Canton, Wills Point, Grand Saline, and Van, and we're out here every week doing pasture clears, demolition on old farm structures, driveway rock for the long roads back to the houses, and stock-pond excavation. The terrain rolls more than the counties to the west, and the soil shifts service to service in the same morning.
Soil across the county
A mix of Bonham clay, sandy loam, and pockets of caliche, with Houston Black clay influence on the western edge near Kaufman and a salt-dome subsurface around Grand Saline. Pasture work can hit all three soils in the same tract, so material handling and compaction get matched to what's actually under each stretch.
Permits & jurisdictions
Unincorporated Van Zandt is one of the most permit-light counties we work, most ranch projects trigger nothing at all. Canton, Wills Point, and Grand Saline follow standard Texas building permit rules inside their city limits, and some I-20 frontage falls under TxDOT access rules for new driveway connections.
What dirtwork in Van Zandt looks like
Land clearing, ranch-road rock, and demolition lead, with pond excavation and dirt moving close behind. The rolling grades mean erosion protection on bare slopes and proper crown-and-drainage on the long driveways are built into the work, not bolted on after.

Services in Van Zandt
Rock Loading
Driveways, road base & structural fill
A bad caliche driveway ruts out after one wet season. We source the right material, haul it to your East Texas property, and compact it to last.
Land Clearing
Trees, brush & stumps, build-ready fast
Cedar, hardwood, thick East Texas brush, we've cleared it all. From home sites in Rockwall County to ranch land in Van Zandt, we get it done fast and leave it build-ready.
Demolition
Teardown, haul-off & pad grading
Old barn, pier-and-beam house, concrete slab, we tear it down safely, haul off every scrap, and leave you a clean pad in one to two days.
Gravel & Caliche Driveways
Built on a real base so it doesn't rut out
A driveway is only as good as the base under it. We build gravel, caliche, and iron-ore driveways on a compacted base, crowned to shed water, so they hold through East Texas wet seasons instead of rutting out the first year.
