East Texas
Hunt County is mostly farms, ranches, and rural acreage with Greenville and Commerce as the population centers. We do a lot of land clearing here, fence-line opening, food-plot prep, fire lanes, and full pasture clears, alongside the drainage and pond work that comes with working clay-heavy acreage. Lakefront work picks up around Lake Tawakoni in the southeast corner.
Soil across the county
Mostly Houston Black and Bell clay with Wilson clay-loam toward the Sabine River drainage. It holds water in wet years and turns to brick in dry ones, so clearing gets timed and graded to shed water, and drainage swales have to be cut to hold their grade through the clay's wet-dry cycle.
Permits & jurisdictions
Unincorporated Hunt County is minimal-permit on residential land clearing under your own ownership, one of the more flexible counties we work. Greenville and Commerce city limits add stormwater requirements on disturbed acreage above the usual threshold.
