- Q01Do you grind stumps as part of the clearing job, or is that separate?
- We can include stump grinding in the clearing quote or price it separately, depends on stump count and size. We walk the property and break it down clearly so you know what you're paying for.
- Q02What happens to all the trees and brush you take out?
- Most clients in Rockwall and Kaufman County prefer a clean haul-off, we load it and take it away. We can also chip material on-site or pile it for burning if your county and property allow it. Your call.
- Q03Do I need a permit to clear trees and brush in Texas?
- In most rural East Texas counties, you can clear your own land without a permit. Some cities, HOAs, and municipalities around Forney and Rockwall have tree ordinances, we'll flag anything we know about in your area.
- Q04Will all that tracked equipment tear up my soil?
- Some compaction is unavoidable, but we use the right equipment for the terrain and can regrade and loosen topsoil after clearing if you're going straight into a build. Talk to us about your end goal and we'll plan around it.
- Q05How much does land clearing cost per acre in East Texas?
- Clearing is priced by the acreage, how dense the trees and brush are, the species, and how the debris is handled. Light cedar and brush clears cheap per acre; heavy hardwood with stumps to grind and haul costs more. We walk the property and give a firm number after we see what is standing.
- Q06How long does it take to clear an acre of land?
- Light brush and cedar can clear in well under a day per acre; dense mixed hardwood with stump grinding and haul-off takes longer. Terrain, debris handling, and access all move the timeline. We give you a real schedule at the estimate based on what is actually on the ground.
- Q07Do you clear cedar, mesquite, and heavy underbrush?
- Yes, that is most of our clearing work across East Texas pasture and ranch land. Cedar comes out fast, heavier hardwood takes longer, and thick underbrush we can mulch in place or haul. For overgrown acreage where you want ground cover kept, ask about forestry mulching as an option.
- Q08Can you clear and prep a homesite or building site?
- Yes. We clear the footprint, handle the debris, and can roll straight into rough grading so the site is ready for a pad or a build. If you are building, tell us the end goal at the walk and we plan the clearing and any site prep together so nothing gets done twice.
