Drainage FAQ

What people ask before they hire us for drainage. If yours isn't here, call or fill out the form, we'll answer it.

Q01How do I know if I need a French drain or just a swale?
French drains work best when water pools in a specific low spot. Swales redirect surface runoff across a broader area. East Texas clay tends to need French drains more than sandy regions, we assess your grade and soil and tell you what will actually fix it.
Q02Is my yard going to look destroyed after drainage work?
There will be trenching and temporary grading disruption, we won't sugarcoat it. We work as clean as possible and regrade topsoil afterward. We set honest expectations upfront so you're not surprised on job day.
Q03How long will a French drain or drainage system hold up?
A properly installed French drain in East Texas clay with quality pipe and gravel should last 20–40 years. Most failures come from poor installation or tree root intrusion. We engineer against both.
Q04Do you handle commercial drainage, parking lots, retention ponds, site drainage?
Yes. Detention ponds, parking lot drainage, and large-scale commercial site drainage are a regular part of what we do in the Forney, Terrell, and Rockwall areas. Call us for a site walk.
